He was at the show for the longest time and that’s where he made his name but as much as that’s the case, Sello Maake kaNcube says he doesn’t miss the show.
“I can’t say I really miss Generations. I think I miss the fans more than anything. People I meet still refer to me as Archie and I would love to return just for nostalgia’s sake. Just to put a smile on their faces‚” Sello said.
He played the role of Archie Moroka on the SABC1 soap opera from 1993-1997 and again from 1998-2002.
When Sello said, “I can play any character”, he certainly meant it. He’s currently playing the role of Kgosi Kgositsile, a gay man on Mzansi Magic’s The Queen.
Last year when he spoke about this role, he said he’s “playing a gay man for the first time. Honestly, I have been wanting to do this all my life. It’s exciting and liberating to play the role. I would have wanted to play this role in my youth days”.
